Jodie and Chris’s Hertfordshire wedding took place at the beautiful Laura Ashley Hotel in Elstree, Borehamwood, surrounded by just their closest family and friends. I love the Laura Ashley Boutique Hotel, not only for its black and white tudor finishings, and wonderful natural light and gorgeous green gardens, but because it’s really, really close to my house. Nothing like hopping on a bus for 15 minutes and getting home while it’s still light.
Chris and Jodie had an intimate afternoon ceremony followed by a tea party, and the whole day was just packed with love, happiness and fun that radiated from everyone who was there. The ceremony was followed by some couple photos in the hotel grounds which was great fun – I had a brilliant time playing with the giant chess set, naturally!
I love this kind of wedding. Just love! Jodie went for the most awesome mod 60s style for her bridal look, and she even made her own dress and those of the bridesmaids! And look how stunning she looks! Le sigh. I loved her beehive and fabulous 60s style eyeliner. And Chris looked super dapper in his blue suit and knitted bowtie, too. What a stylish couple! I felt quite drab next to them. 🙂
Jodie and Chris, you are awesome. Thank you for having such a chilled out, beautiful day!
