Isle of Wight Wedding Photographer
Last year I was honoured to be asked by the fabulous Karen Robb of Karen Dornellie Bridal to photograph her new collection of wedding gowns. What was extra special about these gowns is that they are all separate bodices and skirts, which can be mixed and matched to find your perfect dress! But they also don’t *look* like separates, if baring your midriff is not quite your thing! And they’re all GORGEOUS.
Karen (whose name you might recognise from my series of styled shoots with the Coocouture group – she designs all those wonderfully quirky outfits!) is based on the Isle of Wight, so I took a train and ferry down (it’s surprisingly easier to get to than I thought!), stayed over, and woke up bright and early the next day for the shoot at The Lodge in Bowcombe, a gorgeous country lodge, which is apparently often rented by celebrities, though we didn’t spot any when we were shooting! (boo). Karen’s genius idea, which worked wonderfully, was to have our five models each wear one of the five bridal skirts, and then switch bodices, making a total of twenty-five different looks. Pretty nifty! All the veils and pretty belts and accessories on the gowns are part of Karen’s collection, too.
See the full list of suppliers at the end of this post. Thanks so much to everyone involved for making this such a fun day to shoot! And thanks to our five models – the pictures might look sunny, but it was COLD. 🙂
