Shwetha and Phillip were married on a chilly February day with just their closest friends and family present at the ceremony at the Chelsea Registry Office. The rain kept threatening, but every time we were about to move back inside or run back to the car the sun came out, so we managed in those brief moments to get some beautiful garden portraits done (in between all the “Oh no, it’s raining, let’s run over there and take shelter…oh, wait, it’s stopped; quick, there’s the sun! Pose!!” moments).
Later in the evening there was a big party for all their friends at the uber-cool Bistrotheque in Bethnal Green (you know it’s cooler than you are when the place doesn’t even have a name outside :-)), where there were some hilarious speeches and awesome dance moves – including what is now probably my favourite first dance song choice of all time – “You Never Can Tell” (you know, the one from the dance competition in Pulp Fiction). So good.
