Here are some more photos taken at Shepstone Gardens, this time featuring the beautiful Zinre!

April has been a pretty hectic wedding month so far, and I’m sure Taryne and Werner have been waiting anxiously for their blog post! So here it is, a few weeks late. Thanks for your patience, guys.
I met Taryne in December when she catered Mel & Graeme’s wedding (go and look at her site here; her dessert buffet was AMAZING), so I knew that her attention to detail would be impeccable – and I was right! Bird cutouts hung from the trees and fluttered in the breeze during the ceremony. They adorned the glasses at the bar, sat atop the bowls of chocolate eggs, and even found their way into Taryne’s gorgeous bouquet. Taryne made jars and jars of jam and homemade lavender-infused biscotti as favours, and yes, they were delicious! Werner and Taryne, it was an absolute pleasure photographing your beautiful wedding, and I wish you all the happiness in the world!
My assistant on this one was Hannes Uys – thanks, Hannes!
I see a lot of people finding my blog by searching for Shepstone Gardens, so I thought I’d share a few more pics I’ve taken at this gorgeous venue on the edge of Houghton and Orange Grove. A few years ago it was quite an unknown venue, but even now that it’s becoming more popular it still has that secret garden, fairytale feeling that makes it so magical. Not to mention one of the most beautiful wedding chapels in the world!
First up, the beautiful Cat (and no, she’s not a professional model!)
More to come! It’s been crazy over here at chez Kat, and I have tons of sessions to edit, but these were already done so I figured I’d throw them at the blog quickly!
Mia & Francois were married last Saturday, and I shot their engagement session two weeks before that. Mia was just moving into Francois’ house, and she wanted a fun session of them planting flowers in the garden, baking and just having fun in their new home! It was so much fun, and the muffins were delicious!
The wedding was amazing – pics coming soon, I promise!
Kirsty and Ant are getting married in August at the Johannesburg Country Club, and they wanted to do their engagement session there before winter, so we met there early last Saturday morning. The grass was covered in dew, so we all got soaked pretty quickly, but Ant and Kirsty were troopers and carried on regardless. Thanks guys, and see you in a few months!
