November and December were utterly crazy. Insane. I’m still slightly behind on the blogging side of life, but I’m finally catching up with that.  And now that things are calming down (fractionally; I’m still editing up a storm), I remembered a few personal blog posts I never got to do. I really wanted to share today’s post about two months ago, but time just got away from me.

On the 31st of October 2010 my husband and I celebrated our two-year anniversary, and we decided (about a week in advance) to go down to Cape Town for a few days. Whereupon I had the brilliant idea of having a photo shoot done by one of my favourite Cape Town photographers, the talented and incredibly sweet and awesome Nikki Meyer. The day we settled on was cold and windy as can be (my hairband blew off about four times), but we had so much fun! I can’t recommend enough having photos taken with your family – and I’m not just saying that because I’m a photographer. These are just going to be such a wonderful reminder of how we were at this time in our lives. :-)

You can see Nikki’s blog post here. And these are some of my favourites:

Fresh, Fun and Natural Wedding Photography in London and the United Kingdom by Kat Forsyth Wedding Photographer. I love weddings and anything to do with them, and you're just as likely to hear me squeal in delight when you show me your dress, as you are to see me cry when you say your vows. Yes, it happens. To me, weddings are about two things: love and fun. So these are the two things I try to capture in all my photos! My approach to your wedding day is to capture natural moments as they unfold throughout the day, with a little more direction thrown in for some gorgeous and fun portraits and couple photos. I love beautiful scenery, old walls, broken-down buildings, fields, fun props, and couples who bring their unique personalities to the shoot. I love couples who are excited about their photos and want to have some fun in them! And details...oooh, details. They make my heart sing. So if you have different decor on each of your sixteen tables, you'll find me happily snapping away at ALL of them! I've been a wedding photographer since 2009. I fell into it right after I got married, and I adore it. I'm from Johannesburg, and have shot weddings all over South Africa. Now I'm off on my next big adventure, which is taking over the UK! I'll be arriving in early March 2012, and I'm so unbelievably excited about the theatre, shopping and meeting all my awesome UK wedding-industry friends! I'll be based in North London but I'm happy to travel anywhere for a wedding.
