Summertime craziness is upon us, as it’s WEDDING SEASON, but as it starts to wind down I need to post some of my gorgeous summer weddings on here so you can see what I’ve been up to!
First up: Sarah and Michael’s beautiful Asylum Chapel wedding in Peckham, London, with the wedding reception at the AMP Studios at the railway arches on Old Kent Road. Sarah and Michael have been together for quite some time, and have a daughter together, who walked Sarah down the aisle (which I LOVED!). So they wanted a relaxed, intimate wedding for their closest family friends and family, without too many typical wedding traditions or a typical wedding venue. So what better place to celebrate their love than at the utterly unique Asylum Chapel wedding venue in Peckham, run by Maverick Projects, and their associated reception venue, AMP Studios, just down the road? The guests were treated to drinks and canapes outside in the sun (this was near the beginning of that insane heatwave we just had, but it was still liveable!), and then a choice of food trucks for dinner (yum! I couldn’t decide between steak and schnitzel), which they could eat outside or at the “no seating plan” tables inside under the railway arches. Then everyone just chilled out in the evening sun with drinks and, later, had hot drinks from the mobile coffee bar. I even saw some people watching the football – it was world cup time – at a tiny tv specially set up by the groom!
Such a gorgeous, chilled out wedding – Sarah and Michael, thank you so much for having me along to be a part of it!
As always, thank you to my wonderful assistant photographer, Heline Bekker!
