Cambridgeshire Wedding Photographer – Fun Chippenham Park Wedding {Angie & Martin}

Fun fun fun fun fun. All the fun. SO. MUCH. FUN. That’s basically the only way to describe Angie and Martin’s fabulously freaking fun summer wedding at Chippenham Park wedding venue in Cambridgeshire in August. Seriously, if you want to know how to have an amazing wedding and get great photos, just study Angie and Martin! I don’t know if there was a single guest left at the end of the wedding without an aching jaw from smiling so much. Or an aching belly from laughing so much!

I met Angie through my lovely friend Emma, who used to live here in the UK, but has since moved back to South Africa (boo; I miss her). Like Emma and me, Angie and Martin are also ex-South Africans living it up in London, so after we met at a picnic back in 2012, we became Facebook friends, and I got to see all the fun Angie and Martin have as a couple (mostly eating amazing food and making incredible Halloween costumes!). I was also there to see them get engaged (well, I saw it on Facebook, I wasn’t physically there :P), and then Angie, who runs events and is super organised, asked me to photograph their wedding, ewven though it was in two years’ time! I was thrilled because I KNEW their wedding day would be epic, and that after years of Facebook friendship they knew I would fit in perfectly on the day and be “one of the guests but with a camera”, which is exactly what I always try to do.

The surprise star guest of the day was the inflatable T-Rex, who ended up in many a group shot and Boomerang video – even my second shooter Vicki Clayson and I got some photos with him! (PS – thank you, Vicki, you were AMAZING!). T-Rex even stood in for some “cheesy” wedding shots of the bridesmaids holding him across their bodies, and he stood firm when an impromptu game resulted in spacehoppers being thrown at his head. Damn, I LOVED THIS WEDDING.
