Leadenhall Market Wedding
Sol and Dean chose to have a small, intimate wedding surrounded by just their closest family and friends. They wanted it to be a chilled, relaxed affair in which they exchanged vows surrounded by their nearest and dearest, and they got it exactly right! Everyone was so happy for them, and there was no typical “wedding stress”. (Proof of this: Sol literally bought the first dress she tried on, and it was gorgeous! Passersby kept stopping her to tell her how lovely she looked). After the wedding ceremony at Islington Town Hall, everyone piled on a red double decker London bus, and took in some London sights as we made our way to the historical, and quite frankly gorgeous, Leadenhall Market near Bank. I’d never been there before and I was blown away by the architecture. I couldn’t stop taking photos – if only my camera could have captured the full on 360 degree awesomeness of it all!
The reception was held at Young’s Lamb Tavern in the Leadenhall Market wedding venue, and while everyone relaxed outside with drinks, the pub staff fed everyone amazing canapes – fish and chips, mini burgers, and meatballs, which went down a treat! Yum. Then Sol, Dean and I went off to take some couple photos around the nearby streets – which basically resulted in me wanting to take a photo of every single building I saw – man, there’s some beautiful architecture around Bank. Then it was back to Lamb’s, where everyone went upstairs to a gorgeous little room overlooking the Leadenhall Market for the evening meal!
What a gorgeous, chilled out day. Thank you SO much for choosing me to photograph your day, Sol and Dean! And thanks to my 2nd shooter for the day, the lovely Lex Fleming.
