Moreves Barn Wedding Photographer
Amy and Ben were married last summer at Moreves Barn wedding venue in the Suffolk countryside. I was second shooting for my friend and colleague Laura De Bourde on this one, and I’m so happy she asked me, as it was such a beautiful, relaxed and just plain happy wedding day! Amy and Ben are such lovely people, which means they surrounded themselves with lovely people on their wedding day, too, creating a joyful and relaxed atmosphere which set the tone for the entire day.
I loved the venue, too – Moreves Barn is beautiful inside and out, with a fabulous old barn with an upstairs mezzanine style level for the ceremony, and the main downstairs for the reception (or whichever way you like it!), and absolutely wonderful grounds for photos. Willow trees, lakes, rose arches, and sunny grassy fields = one (or two in this case) happy wedding photographer(s)! It was a boiling hot day, but everyone took it in their stride and just chilled out on the lawns under the trees during cocktail and canape hour, and while we were off with Amy and Ben doing some beautiful sunset portraits of the two of them.
As it cooled down we ended the evening with some hilarious speeches – I especially loved the best man’s “alphabet” speech about Ben, and the fact that Ben’s brother and sister both had a few words to say on the subject of their brother! Ha. And then it was time for some epic dancing – Amy and Ben’s friends and family certainly knew a few moves! So. Much. Fun.
