Peckham Wedding Photographer
This incredible day was one I was the second shooter for last summer. Erica from Clean Plate Pictures in the States had flown into London to photograph her sister-in-law Helen’s Peckham wedding, and she invited me to come and help her out by second shooting…and I’m so glad she did, because Helen and Sam’s wedding was frankly AMAZING. Sam owns a contemporary Art Gallery, Assembly Point, in Peckham in south London, so it was the obvious place to hold their wedding! Before the wedding, they got all their friends together to transform the previously rubble-filled back yard into a colourful graffiti-covered outdoor drinks area, and it was perfect with its shabby but colourful walls, brightly-coloured fans and paper decorations and strings of lightbulbs everywhere. Everyone hung out there while the ceremony room was changed over for the evening reception, and it looked stunning, complete with masses of colourful flowers on long, black and white striped tablecloths, and they then proceeded to feast on fantastic Indian food before the room was changed around yet again for some insane dancing!
To match the colourful wedding theme, Helen went non-traditional and chose a bright yellow wedding dress by Roksanda Ilincic, and with a massive smile of joy on her face the whole day she looked incredible. And Sam couldn’t have looked more proud or happy! Thank you, Erica, for asking me to be part of your extra-special family wedding. I had absolute masses of fun with the guests, as you can see! Fun guests make my day (and make a wedding day, too!)
