HERTFORDSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER – ROWLEY BARN WEDDING
Linne and Richard decided to have their May wedding over two days, and why not? Twice the fun, twice the getting dressed up! Day one started with the girls getting ready at the Laura Ashley Boutique Hotel in Elstree, followed by the wedding ceremony for close friends and family at Stephens House wedding venue in Finchley – both of which are really close to my house, which is always great for a minimal-travel day! After the ceremony we took family photos and couple photos in the beautiful gardens, and everyone relaxed with drinks in the sun, and then everyone piled into a red routemaster bus (except Linne, Rich, and their families, who had amazing white Rolls Royces!) and went off to have dinner nearby. I didn’t tag along for that bit, so the next time I saw them again was two days later, for the PARTY part of the day!
While the ceremony day was filled with blazing sun, the reception day at Rowley Barn wedding venue decided to be properly English, and just drizzle all day, non-stop. I have to give major props to Linne and Rich, though, who didn’t let it dampen their enthusiasm one bit, and were still happy to come outside and snuggle under umbrellas for photos! Later on, they and some of the guests even had a go at the garden games in the rain, with Linne merrily letting the hem of her GORGEOUS crimson wedding gown (by Naomi Neoh) get wet without a care! That’s how you enjoy your wedding day, folks!
Massive thanks to the staff at Rowley Barn wedding venue, too, for shepherding people back and forth under umbrellas between the barn and the marquee all night. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful – and the food was delish!
Thanks, Linne and Rich, for having me along on your two beautiful days!
